Because of the unique threaded design, concerns about sheared strands or insulation that has been insufficiently penetrated are removed. The sturdy housing is well insulated to prevent dead shorts to ground, making them invaluable for interior use—and they're reusable, too. These taps are suitable for 10-12 gauge wires.
